Driver Killed in Simi Valley Truck Accident
A 24-year-old Los Angeles woman was killed when her pickup truck veered off the Ronald Reagan Freeway in Simi Valley and plunged down an embankment, authorities said Thursday.
Mary Foster was driving east about 11 p.m. Wednesday when her Chevy pickup hit the median, California Highway Patrol authorities said. The truck then veered in a southerly direction across the freeway before rolling down an embankment and colliding with a brick wall in a residential area, authorities said.
Foster, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
