AmEx Announces Credit Card Deal

American Express Co. announced its first deal to allow a major American financial institution -- MBNA Corp. -- to issue its credit cards in the U.S.
American Express said MBNA would issue American Express-branded credit cards starting this year, allowing the company to reach a much larger potential customer base.
No financial terms were disclosed.
