The San Diego region needs three firefighting helicopters, according to a study released Wednesday that shows it lags behind other Southern California counties in aerial fire-suppression power.
The city of San Diego commissioned the study by Conklin & de Decker Associates of Arlington, Texas, after October’s wildfires.
