It’s still roses for Edwards and Eubanks
They’re a habit that Southland TV viewers show no signs of wanting to break. We’re talking about Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards, hosts of KTLA-TV Channel 5’s annual coverage of the Rose Parade in Pasadena.
With them at the microphone Thursday morning, KTLA once again dominated ratings for the New Year’s Day event, despite the fact that the parade was available on at least six other channels.
In all, about 1.6 million Southland households tuned in to watch the array of floats, bands and horses, with 1 million of them making KTLA their choice. Spanish-language KMEX-TV Channel 34 drew the second-largest audience, with about 249,000 households watching. KTLA said this was the 29th year in a row it had won the parade ratings competition. The station is owned by Tribune Co., owner of The Times.
