‘Doubt’ still a go in Pasadena

Producers of new plays on Broadway usually carve out periods of exclusivity, when the play can be seen only on Broadway. But Pasadena Playhouse’s production of John Patrick Shanley’s “Doubt,” slated to open March 11 and play through April 10, will continue as scheduled, playhouse executive director Lyla White said Wednesday -- despite a reported statement from producer Carole Shorenstein Hays that she plans to take “Doubt” to Broadway “probably in March.” White cited a contract with Shanley.
