Emmy’s pratfalls

AFTER suffering through a lackluster three-hour telecast Sunday, three Emmy faux pas are still irritating.

* A tribute to Bob Hope in which the camera spent more time on Walter Cronkite’s face than on clips they could have shown.

* A disregard of television’s history. No stars from the ‘50s, ‘60s or ‘70s were visible.

* Larry David and Bill Cosby’s obvious “dissing” of Wanda Sykes. What happened to their sense of humor? Odd, given they are comedians. (She paid great tribute to Don Rickles, yet if Rickles were throwing those jabs, I doubt that David and Cosby would have sneered.)
