From Times Staff Reports
A bicyclist who died after being struck by a car near the Santa Ana Freeway was identified Friday as a 15-year-old boy from Lake Forest.
Authorities said Marlon Retana was riding the wrong way on Lake Forest Drive about 8:15 p.m. Thursday when he was hit by a Corvette entering the northbound freeway onramp.
He died at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo.
