The partially clothed body of a man was discovered floating in the surf near the Redondo Beach Pier, police said Wednesday.
Customers at a pier restaurant called police when they saw something floating near the shore of Horseshoe Beach at about 7 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
“It appeared to have been in the water for less than 24 hours and there were no obvious signs of trauma, so it’s not being investigated as a homicide,” said Sgt. Joe Hoffman.
The man was described as Asian and between the ages of 60 and 70. A search of the area failed to turn up any identification or witnesses.
