A reader agrees: Reno’s a winner

I enjoyed [“A Rebound in Reno? The Odds Are Good,” Aug. 17]. I live in Sacramento and go to Reno often -- and I hate to gamble.
I once stood on the Virginia Street bridge and watched beavers munching on the trees. From the peak of Mt. Rose you can see Reno on one side and Lake Tahoe on the other.
My friends always turn their noses up when I say I want to go to Reno, but we have a great time if I can get them there.
