It Has Water and People

“Water Talks Send Ripple of Fear North” (Aug. 24) stated that “the North has the water, the South has the people.” I must correct this misconception. The North has the water and the South built aqueducts to bring the water south so the people would come, then built sprawling suburbs and golf courses and lakes in a desert so more people would come. And, if you think the North has no people, you should drive on Interstate 680 during rush hour.
