St. John’s Guard Is Arrested
St. John’s guard Willie Shaw was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession, police said.
Shaw was charged with fifth-degree possession of marijuana Tuesday in Queens, according to Officer Jennara Everleth, a police department spokeswoman.
Shaw’s former teammate, Marcus Hatten, was also arrested on the same charge.
St. John’s said Friday that Shaw, averaging 4.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, was suspended indefinitely for violating unspecified team rules.
