Autistic Boy Found After Riding Off on Scooter

An autistic 11-year-old boy was found Thursday, four hours after he rode away from his parents on his scooter and disappeared.
Timmy Dung was found about 4 p.m. at Hermosa Avenue and 16th Street, said Sgt. Paul A. Wolcott of the Hermosa Beach Police Department.
The boy was riding a Razor scooter ahead of his parents northbound on the Strand at 15th Street about noon when his parents realized they had lost sight of him, Wolcott said.
Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo Beach police officers helped in the search for the boy.
