Boy, 4, Found Safe After Theft of Mother’s Van

A 4-year-old boy was found safe, two hours after his mother’s van was stolen on Monday while he was in the back seat, National City police said.
Gloria Peralta told police she had left the van running in front of her apartment complex momentarily. When she returned, the van and her son Daniel were gone, she said.
After officials issued an Amber alert, a system for alerting the media and the public to a missing child, the 1993 Nissan was found several miles away, with Daniel unharmed, police said. Police have no suspects in the theft.
