Disney Hall’s unconventional tiles held up to their first big storm Wednesday night. Terry Bell, project architect and a partner with architect Frank Gehry’s firm, was jubilant that the storm resulted in only one minor caulking leak in a skylight. It was patched before that evening’s Keith Jarrett concert.
“Considering the miles of potential leaks” in a structure like Disney Hall, Bell said Thursday, “That’s pretty good.”
