Chief of Global Security Put on Leave

The United Nations put its head of global security on leave 10 days after an independent panel said the world body didn’t take proper precautions before the Aug. 19 bombing that killed 22 people at its Baghdad headquarters, a U.N. official and a diplomat said.
Security coordinator Tun Myat has been put on indefinite leave. Catherine Bertini, undersecretary-general for management, will take charge of security.
