Teacher Is Accused of Taping Students’ Mouths

A substitute teacher at Huntington Drive Elementary School in Montecito Heights is under investigation for allegedly using masking tape to shut the mouths of eight first-grade students who were talking in her class.
The incident, which allegedly occurred last Thursday, was reported to Los Angeles police by one of the children’s parents. A detective was scheduled to interview the students and their parents this week.
