A citizens committee has received 50 applications from candidates interested in becoming Thousand Oaks’ next city manager.
The five-member search committee, reviewing resumes from as far away as Colorado and Texas, is expected to narrow the list to no more than a dozen people for interviews early next month.
Compensation for the city’s top administrator, who oversees a staff of nearly 500, will range from about $122,000 to more than $183,000. Additionally, the job includes an automobile allowance, 30 days off, up to 15% of salary in deferred compensation, medical and dental insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
About half a dozen finalists’ names will be forwarded to the City Council after the preliminary interviews.
