Aliso Viejo Pedestrian Injured in Car Accident

A 23-year-old woman was injured Friday night when she was struck by a car while walking across North Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, police said.
The unidentified woman was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where she had surgery.
A nursing supervisor declined Sunday to disclose the woman’s condition.
The woman, who lives in Aliso Viejo, was walking near Irvine Cove when she was struck by a Nissan Altima, according to Laguna Beach police.
The 21-year-old driver of the Altima was not cited, but the incident is under investigation, police said.
