Two Fillies Trying to Make It Two in a Row

Fresh off maiden victories, Corona Chaser and Dashing Scarlett will be trying to make it two in a row when they take on four other 3-year-old fillies in tonight’s eighth.

Trained by Felix Gonzalez for owner Eladin Flores, Corona Chaser will break from the outside in the $13,550 allowance at 350 yards and be ridden by Alex Bautista. The Corona Cartel filly and the rider teamed for the first time on June 12 and won by a head as the 3-2 favorite.

A Texas-bred daughter of Relegate, Dashing Scarlett will be making her first start since she won for the first time on April 6. Ridden by Bautista that night when she defeated Under My Wing and four others, Dashing Scarlett will be handled by Raul Ramirez this evening.
