5 Suspected Gang Members Held in Buena Park Shootings

Buena Park police Friday announced the arrests of five alleged gang members in connection with two shootings in April, one of which wounded a 5-year-old boy.
“What makes this case kind of cool,” said Sgt. James Banks, “is that we didn’t have any information at all.
“Our investigator just pounded the pavement, got people to cooperate and eventually gathered enough information to make some arrests.”
Last week, police arrested Maurcio Flores, 20, and a 17-year-old boy, both of Los Angeles, for attempted murder.
On Thursday they followed up with the arrests of Mario Camacho, 28, of Cerritos as well as Ismael Lopez, 25, and Adam Ochoa, 20, both of Buena Park.
The three were charged with crimes ranging from attempted murder to street terrorism and possession of narcotics.
Banks said the arrests stem from shootings in Buena Park on April 27 and 28 which involved rival gang members from Los Angeles and Buena Park.
The young boy, a bystander, was shot through a finger on his left hand.
