Xcel Employees Lose Jobs Over False Reports
Xcel Energy Inc., owner of electric utilities in Denver and Minneapolis, fired or accepted resignations from four employees of an energy trading unit who allegedly gave false data on natural gas trades to be used in published price indexes.
Xcel also suspended two E Prime trading unit workers pending completion of an investigation triggered by subpoenas from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
