EBay to Collect Tax From European Sellers

EBay Inc. said it will collect value-added taxes from sellers in Europe beginning July 1 to comply with new European Union regulations.
The San Jose-based company said it will apply the tax to fees of EBay sellers who live in EU countries.
Transactions outside the U.S. rose to 29% of EBay’s revenue during the first quarter from 21% in the previous year.EBay shares rose $3.61 to $102.65 on Nasdaq.
