Good start for ‘Bad Boys II’ soundtrack
The “Bad Boys II†soundtrack album, featuring tracks by such red-hot rappers as Jay-Z and 50 Cent, entered the national sales chart at No. 1 on Wednesday by selling 324,000 copies in its first week in stores, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Another rapper, Chingy, entered the chart at No. 2 after his “Jackpot†CD sold 157,000 copies in its first week.
Two new country collections, Brooks & Dunn’s “Red Dirt Road†and Pat Green’s “Wave on Wave,†also entered the Top 10. They finished No. 4 and No. 10, respectively.
