Bohler May Face Death Penalty in Knife Slaying
A Mission Viejo woman charged with stabbing her former boyfriend and killing his teenage son could face the death penalty.
According to City News Service, a premeditation allegation is being added to the criminal complaint against Tamara Kay Bohler, 44, who is charged in the July 4 attack on Jean Marc Weber, 45, and his son Alex, 13. Bohler faces charges of murder, attempted murder, using a weapon and inflicting great bodily injury.
The news service reported that the allegation means Bohler, if convicted, faces a minimum sentence of life without the possibility of parole and could receive the death penalty. The Orange County district attorney’s office has not made the decision to seek the death penalty.
