Five mares who have combined for one victory in 2003 will get together in tonight’s seventh, a $13,250 allowance at 350 yards.

Mini Rock is the most accomplished with earnings of more than $172,000, but she has lost seven in a row for owner Jay Parsons and trainer Blane Schvaneveldt.

Winless since capturing the La Primera Del Ano Derby on April 27, 2002, she has hit the board in five of her defeats, including a third-place finish behind Agouti and Harley Man in the Southern California Derby Dec. 15. Gary Boag will ride.

Her only victory came against maidens at Ruidoso in her career debut earlier that year.
