2 Charged With Murder for Roles in Fatal Crash

Two men will stand trial on murder charges for their roles in a fatal crash during a high-speed pursuit by Border Patrol agents.
Carlos Moreno, 20, was driving a pickup carrying fellow suspect Anselmo Pedroza and 15 undocumented immigrants on Jan. 9 when he crashed into a bridge support east of San Diego, authorities said.
Three women died of injuries suffered in the collision.
Moreno and Pedroza, 30, are charged with second-degree murder, witness intimidation and child abuse. They also face federal charges of smuggling.
