Madcap trio turns up the New Year’s heat
The spirit of Guy Lombardo is not likely to permeate the Ventura Theatre on New Year’s Eve as decorum and gentle waltzes give way to the Reverend Horton Heat.
The madcap Texas trio -- led by guitarist Jim Heath -- will usher in 2004 with their punk-fueled rockabilly songs about fast cars and even faster women.
Heath, a.k.a. the Reverend, is joined in his sonic mayhem by Jimbo Wallace on upright bass and drummer Scott Churilla.
