Highway Patrol Officers Replace Stolen Toys

When someone stole $5,000 worth of Christmas presents intended for kids at the Sacramento Children’s Home last week, the toy drive’s organizers were downcast.
But that turned to delight Sunday when California Highway Patrol officers replaced the stolen gifts with two carloads full of presents, moving the drive’s leader to tears.
“We were beside ourselves trying to pick ourselves up, wondering what are we going to do?” said Laura Black. “Look at this. This is amazing.”
