Giving credit to George Elkins

Regarding “In Arcadia Highlands, Rustic Charm Is No Accident,” Nov. 23: The article fails to give credit to the developer of the area. His name was George Elkins, the same man who presided over the George Elkins Co., based in Beverly Hills, from 1922 until his death in 1993.
He also named many of the streets in this neighborhood after family members: Virginia Avenue (his daughter), Doshier Avenue, Carolwood Drive and of course Elkins Avenue.
