Cal State Northridge (2-2) at San Jose State (1-3), 2 p.m. -- The Matadors have five players averaging double figures in scoring with Davin White leading the way at 16 points. Joseph Frazier scored 11 of his 15 points in the second half of Northridge’s 72-63 victory over Montana on Wednesday. San Jose State has lost two games in a row, including a two-point defeat at home to Santa Clara early this week. Brett Lilly averages 12.5 points for the Spartans.

UC Irvine (3-3) vs. Arkansas Monticello (2-2) in McCaffrey Classic at Fresno, 5:30 p.m., KUCI-FM (88.9) -- The Anteaters, who defeated Princeton, 57-55, in the opening round on Friday, will face Arkansas Monticello, a Division II school. Stanislav Zuzak leads UC Irvine in scoring at 14.8 points a game. Keith Howell, Nate Newell and Billy McDaniel are the top scorers for the Boll Weevils.

Northern Arizona (2-3) at Cal State Fullerton (1-3), 7 p.m. -- Freshman guard Bobby Brown scored 22 points to lead the Titans to their first victory of the season, 78-74 over Pepperdine on Monday. Senior center Pape Sow leads Fullerton in scoring at 20 points a game. Northern Arizona defeated Fullerton, 77-60, to open the season.

Long Beach State (1-2) at Pepperdine (1-4), 7 p.m., Fox Sports Net 2 -- Forward Kevin Roberts leads the 49ers in scoring at 13.7 points a game and is coming off a 17-point, 11-rebound effort in a victory over Cal State Stanislaus. After losing its first two games, Long Beach State shot 52.2% to defeat the Warriors on Wednesday. Pepperdine has lost three in a row by a combined eight points. Forward Glen McGowan leads the Waves in scoring at 16 points a game.

Nevada Las Vegas (4-1) at Loyola Marymount (5-0), 7 p.m., KXLU-FM (88.9) -- The undefeated Lions will be tested by a strong UNLV team, which defeated USC in overtime on Wednesday. Demetrius Hunter led the Rebels with 21 points against the Trojans. Senior forward Keith Kincade has been the main force for Loyola, leading the team in scoring at 13.6 points a game and shooting 51.1% from the field, including 45.5% from behind the three-point line. Loyola is off to its first 5-0 start since 1952-53.

WOMEN

UCLA (2-1) at St. Mary’s (3-2), 2 p.m., KIIS (850) -- This is the first of three consecutive road games for the Bruins. UCLA has a 3-1 series edge. The only loss came on St. Mary’s home court, 83-63, in 1997. Last year the Bruins won, 72-60, behind Nikki Blue’s 24 points, all in the second half. St. Mary’s is coming off a 69-40 loss Tuesday to No. 19 Utah. UCLA defeated Illinois, 68-56, on Sunday.
