Rose Deal Is Official

A six-player trade that sends Chicago Bull forward Jalen Rose to the Toronto Raptors for Antonio Davis was completed Monday, two days after it was announced.
Besides Rose, 30, the Bulls are sending forwards Donyell Marshall, 30, and Lonny Baxter, 24, to the Raptors. In return, Chicago gets Davis, 35, and forwards Jerome Williams, 30, and Chris Jefferies, 23.
Meanwhile, the Bulls put forward Tyson Chandler on the injured list because of back pain.

Darrell Armstrong’s battery trial began in Orlando, Fla., with his attorney admitting the New Orleans Hornet guard struck an officer, but he said it was an accident. But officer Teresa Joyce testified that Armstrong “reacted very violently” outside a nightclub on July 7.
Armstrong is charged with felony battery on an officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest without violence. If convicted, he faces probation to five years in prison.
