Two Killed as Speeder Collides With Two Cars

Two men were killed in a collision at Ogden Drive and Fountain Avenue in Hollywood Friday night, authorities said.
The accident occurred at 9:33 p.m. when a driver in a suspected stolen Volkswagen sped past a California Highway Patrol officer. The officer turned on the patrol car’s lights and siren and prepared to pull the car over, but the driver accelerated and collided with two other cars, according to the CHP.
Three people in the Volkswagen ran from the scene, but police caught them. The two men who died were in a Nissan that the Volkswagen struck. .
