Missing-Woman Search Expands Nationwide
Bulletins are being posted nationwide for missing Redding resident Heather Marie Carpenter.
The Center for Missing Adults, a federally funded, nonprofit clearinghouse, has signed on to help find the 22-year-old, who disappeared last week.
The group notifies national law enforcement and the news media about missing adults who have mental difficulties or may have been the victim of a crime.
Carpenter was last seen Aug. 4 by a 17-year-old boy who dropped her off at her apartment after a party. The boy isn’t a suspect in the case, said Redding Police Capt. Gary Dirks.
