Justice Is Not Blind as a Bat After All

The halls of justice are open to all, but one visitor -- a small brown bat -- got the bum’s rush at the Supreme Court in Washington.
Police closed the court’s front doors Friday, and a groundskeeper collared the bat that first had been spotted swooping around the court’s ceremonial hall Wednesday.
The nine justices were meeting behind closed doors, in a bat-free room, at the time.
