Man Is Executed for Killing Girlfriend

A man who slashed his girlfriend to death with a box cutter after escaping from a prison work program has been executed, officials said.
Larry Kenneth Jackson, 40, was executed for the 1994 slaying of Wendy Cade, 29, at an Oklahoma City motel.
He offered apologies to Cade’s mother. “I’m sorry for everything I’ve brought upon her,” Jackson said, according to prison officials.
