FBI Issues Warrant in Dele Disappearance

The FBI issued an arrest warrant Friday for Miles Dabord, also know as Kevin Williams, the brother of missing former NBA player Bison Dele.
Dabord is being sought for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution by the FBI bureau in Phoenix, where he is suspected to attempting to steal his brother’s identity.
The Phoenix police also have a warrant out for Dabord, who on Sept. 5 allegedly tried to purchase $152,000 in gold using his brother’s identification and a check drawn on Dele’s account.
By issuing its warrant, an FBI source said the bureau would be able to “use all of our resources” in the pursuit of Dabord, who is believed to be in Mexico.
Bureau officers on Thursday raided a Tijuana hotel room that had been occupied by Dabord as recently as the previous day. Evidence was gathered, but FBI sources would not divulge what was found.
FBI officials want to question Dabord about the South Pacific disappearances of Dele, a former Santa Monica St. Monica High standout, Dele’s girlfriend, Serena Karlan, and boat captain Bertrand Saldo. Dabord was aboard Dele’s 55-foot catamaran, the Hakuna Matata, as recently as early July.
The Hakuna Matata was found Thursday, docked in the Tahitian town of Taravao. FBI officials were preparing to conduct a forensics investigation aboard the boat, which was logged into the dock on July 8 with the new name Arabella painted on its side.
