Meetings on L.A. Housing Funds Set

The L.A. County Community Development Commission is inviting residents to a series of community meetings seeking their input on the distribution of $53 million in federal funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development that are earmarked for low-and moderate-income areas and individuals.
Residents, community organizations and local interest groups will be asked to identify existing resources in the community, resources that need improvement or which do not exist, and top priorities for future funding.
The meetings will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m.:
* Tuesday, Boys and Girls Club of San Fernando Valley Multipurpose Room, 11251 Glenoaks Blvd., Pacoima
* Thursday, Roosevelt Park Senior Center Multipurpose Room, 7600 Graham Ave., Los Angeles
* Sept. 17, Lennox Park Community Center Multipurpose Room, 10828 S. Condon Ave., Lennox
* Sept. 19, Sunshine Park Multipurpose Room, 515 S. Deepmead Ave., La Puente
* Sept. 24, Business Technology Center Room 140, 2400 N. Lincoln Ave., Altadena
* Sept. 26, Bethune Park Multipurpose Room, 1244 E. 61st St., Los Angeles
* Oct. 1, Vista San Gabriel School Multipurpose Room, 18050 E. Avenue O, Palmdale
