29 Accused of Lying to Get Airport Jobs

Twenty-nine people were arrested on federal charges of lying or offering false papers to get jobs at three South Florida airports.
Broward County Sheriff Ken Jenne said seven suspects were at large because they gave their employers nonexistent addresses.
Those taken into custody gave false names or Social Security numbers, lied about their criminal records or attached false documents to applications to get jobs or access to secure areas, prosecutors said.
The arrests included workers from the West Palm Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports.
A security firm pleaded guilty in January to skipping 10-year background checks for Miami airport employees.
