Man Sought in Failed Home Invasion Robbery
Police are searching for a gunman who forced his way into a residence in the 1700 block of North 6th Place on Saturday night and attempting to rob a family living there.
Answering a knock at the door shortly before 10 p.m., Angel and Juanita Gonzalez were confronted by a Spanish-speaking man with a mustache. He was in his mid-20s, 5 foot 7, with a medium build, police said. The man pushed his way into the home, flashed a semiautomatic handgun and told the couple to lie on the floor.
Instead, Juanita Gonzalez ran into her bedroom and called police. The man fled, without taking anything, after other family members told him authorities would soon arrive.
