Moviegoers Make It a ‘Sweet’ September
“Sweet Home Alabama†had the biggest September opening ever with $35.6 million, eclipsing 1998’s “Rush Hour†with $33 million. “The Tuxedo†debuted at No. 2 with $15.1 million. Meanwhile, “Moonlight Mile†opened in limited release with $329,771 in 22 theaters for a healthy $14,989 per screen average.
