City Urged to File Suit Over Ahmanson Project
The chairmen of two City Council panels recommended Tuesday that Los Angeles file a lawsuit to block the Ahmanson Ranch development if the Ventura County Board of Supervisors approves the project without changes to address traffic and other environmental concerns.
After a hearing on the proposed 3,050-home development just west of the L.A. city border, the litigation was endorsed by Ed Reyes and Nate Holden. Ventura County supervisors are expected to vote on the project at their Dec. 10 meeting. The recommendations from Reyes and Holden will be considered by the L.A. council next month.
