Best bet: It’s magic

Mac King takes the stage in the Improv comedy club at Harrah’s Tuesdays through Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to perform comedy and magic. In a town where big-name casino entertainment fetches unseemly prices, a ticket to see King costs $16.45.
King, in fact, may be the best deal on the Strip, in terms of return for your dollar, provided you’re willing to file into a club in the middle of the afternoon. And while the hyphenate comedian-magician conjures something potentially cheesy and awful, King is both wry and winning, with his homespun humor, audience-participation parlor tricks and genuine talent in sleight-of-hand trickery. Don’t be fooled by the loud plaid jacket. For tickets to Mac King, call (702) 369-5111.
