Dedication Date of WWII Memorial Set

World War II veterans learned they are about 18 months away from seeing completion of their war memorial on the Mall.
The American Battle Monuments Commission announced that the memorial will be dedicated May 29, 2004.
The commission says that of the 16 million citizens who served in uniform in World War II, fewer than 4 million are expected to be living when the memorial is dedicated.
