Gunshot From Car Wounds Woman

An Oxnard woman was shot in the thigh as she walked through the carport at her apartment complex, police said.
Maria Alegria, 35, was in the 300 block of North G Street when bullets were fired from a car speeding down an alley Tuesday night, Oxnard Police Sgt. Steven Moore said.
Police gang investigators who visited the scene said the shooting was not gang-related. They said Alegria appeared to be a bystander.
Alegria was treated at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura and released. The suspects remain at large.
