Lockheed Workers in Georgia on Strike

Lockheed Martin Corp. machinists in Georgia walked off the job after rejecting a final contract offer from the world’s largest defense contractor because of disagreements over job security.
Lockheed said it’s disappointed with the workers’ decision and that its offer was fair and equitable.
Shares of Bethesda, Md.-based Lockheed rose $1.01 to close at $57.75 on the NYSE.
