Man Dies After Being Hit by Freight Train

A 41-year-old man was struck by a freight train and killed Saturday night in Ventura, authorities said.
The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was hit about 8:30 p.m. in an area just north of the Ventura River, police said.
