L.A. Watts Games Open This Weekend

The busy summer season for high school athletes officially kicks off this weekend with the start of the L.A. Watts Summer Games. More than 7,000 athletes will be competing in 10 sports. L.A. Southwest College is the primary site, with City Section schools also being used for basketball.
Competition takes place Saturday and Sunday, with the finals next Saturday and Sunday. The basketball competition, featuring 64 teams for boys and girls, is usually the top sports event.
