Forum Topic: Revamp or Rebuild High School?

A task force studying whether San Clemente High School should be renovated or rebuilt will make its report at a public forum tonight, officials said.
The panel of parents, teachers and officials of the city and Capistrano Unified School District has worked for about two years to address concerns that the 30-year-old school lacks technology such as adequate connections for computer networks.
Among the options the task force considered was a San Clemente offer to swap the current school site on Avenida Pico for land about five miles away on Avenida La Pata.
The existing site would be used for a fire station or other city facilities.
