Fleeing Teenager Kills Friend, Is Shot to Death

A knife-wielding teenager climbed into a sport-utility vehicle to escape a sheriff’s deputy in a New Orleans suburb and backed over a friend, killing her, then was shot to death by the deputy.
The deputy fired the shot as he was thrown to the pavement as the teen accelerated.
The incident occurred after the deputy was sent to investigate a disturbance and found the 17-year-old boy chasing people outside his estranged girlfriend’s house.
