Ross’ Run Boosts Oklahoma

Rosalind Ross scored 24 points, including eight consecutive in Oklahoma’s game-turning run, and the third-ranked Sooners beat No. 12 Baylor, 82-73, on Saturday in Waco, Texas, to extend their Big 12 Conference winning streak to 18 games.
Ross led a 20-6 run after Oklahoma (14-1, 4-0) trailed, 61-52. She made an inside basket and consecutive three-pointers to ignite the run.
Caton Hill finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds and LaNeishea Caufield had 23 points for Oklahoma. Lambert led Baylor (13-2, 1-2) with 26 points.
LaToya Rose scored a career-high 28 points for host Texas A&M; (10-5, 2-1), which upset No. 6 Iowa State (13-3, 1-3), 88-71....Swin Cash had 17 points and 15 rebounds for No. 1 Connecticut (18-0, 4-0), which romped to a 96-50 Big East Conference victory over visiting Miami (9-6, 2-3).... Kendra Wecker had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Laurie Koehn scored 26 to lead No. 14 Kansas State (16-1, 4-0) over Nebraska (11-6, 1-3), 85-71, in a Big 12 Conference game.... Mandy Nightingale had 16 points and five assists for No. 21 Colorado (11-6, 1-3), which ended a three-game losing streak with a 79-57 Big 12 victory over Oklahoma State (9-7, 1-2).... Kim Makie scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds for No. 24 Boston (12-3, 3-1), which beat Pittsburgh (6-9, 3-1), 81-57, in a Big East game....Angie Gorton scored 24 points to lead No. 23 Colorado State (13-3, 2-0) to an 87-77 triple-overtime victory over host Utah (8-6, 1-1) in Mountain West play.
